Chakulia Nagar Panchayat, with population of about 16 thousand is Chakulia sub district's only Nagar Panchayat located in Chakulia sub district of Purbi Singhbhum district in the state Jharkhand in India. Total geographical area of Chakulia Nagar Panchayat is 15 km2. Population density of the city is 1078 persons per km2. There are 10 wards in the city, among them Chakulia Ward No 03 is the most populous ward with population of 2130 and Chakulia Ward No 04 is the least populous ward with population of 954.
Nearest railway station is Chakulia which is within the city. Chakulia is the sub district head quarter of the city. District head quarter of the city is Jamshedpur which is 85 km away. Ranchi is the state head quarter of the city and is 210 km far from here. Yearly average rainfall of the city is 1783.6 mm. Maximum temperature here reaches up to 46°C and minimum temperature goes down to 7°C.
